This homemade ranch dressing was one of the biggest hits at the dinner party. It could not be easier to make, and tastes so much better, and fresher, than anything that comes out of a bottle.
Here’s what you do….
Start by chopping up one garlic clove. Then sprinkle it with a little kosher salt.
Using a fork, mash the garlic into a fine paste.
In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream and the garlic paste.
Add in the herbs.
and the cayenne and black pepper, and paprika. Mix together well.
Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours, up to overnight to thicken.
About half hour before serving, pour in whole milk, or buttermilk, to thin to desired consistency. Serve over a fresh garden salad. Or use as a dip for your hot wings, your french fries, or even your jalapeno poppers.
(I am so bad about taking pictures of the finished food products at these dinner parties. I completely neglected to take a pic of the dressing when it was done. Sorry. Maybe I should hire a photographer. I’ll try better next time. I promise.)
